Tuakana Taina features an intimate collaboration of resilience through creative activation. Over the past 6 months, with the wonderful support of Creative New Zealand, the artists involved, leading and aspiring, navigated their way through creative interpretation – resetting, reframing and reimagining collaborative and innovative pathways with their creative compass. This exhibition of new art works brings together the flourishing of mentoring, research and development (skill, concept and mātauranga), from the participating established, emerging and aspiring artists, working to extend their own practice and to support the development of each other.
