Steve Gibbs, Ngai Tamanuhiri is associate professor at the well-known school of visual arts and design Maori, Toihoukura. Steve is part of a committed group who are involved in the ongoing development of Maori visual arts.  His technique employs the layering of translucent washes of acrylic with personalised references to his tribal histories of Gisborne.
