SUMMARY:Classical guitar concert - Rameka Tamaki & Oliver Fetherston
DESCRIPTION:Currently in their third year of undergraduate study at Te Koki New Zealand School of Music\, Rameka Tamaki and Oliver Fetherston are soon to complete their Bachelor of Music degrees. They are both Classical Performance majors\, studying classical guitar under the tutelage of Dr Jane Curry. \nThe pair began playing together in 2017\, and have since performed in numerous concerts around Wellington. Nga Tae Puoro\, or ‘The colourful instrument’\, takes its name from the wide tonal palette offered by the guitar that makes it unique amongst other instruments. The two members aim to explore the versatility of the guitar in a range of works\, finding inspiration from various musical eras and disciplines. \nTickets are $5 for adults\, children and students with ID are free. Pay on the day. \nWith thanks to Dr Jack Richards \nPlease note this is a change from the scheduled performance. Claudia and Sophie Matthews will now perform at the museum on the 9th September. \n
