It was last century in September 1994 when we, Phyllis, Gary and Colin had our last joint family exhibition – Underdown Trio. This latest exhibition introduces the next generation with Colin’s daughter Holly we have pooled our creative efforts to pay homage to the legacy of our mother, grandmother and artist, Phyllis Underdown. We have given ourselves the opportunity to explore a variety of art making processes, often in isolation but resulting in an affinity with the artworks we have produced.

The passage of time has enabled each to reflect on an art practice in a positive manner. Themes, ideas and images recur creating a dialogue between the old and the new.

This exhibition is a celebration of all of these moments.
