The Tairāwhiti Museum Shop holds a fabulous range of products and we regularly add new items to our range. Whether you are looking for a gift, wanting to send something overseas or buy a treat for yourself, there is something for everyone.

Many of our products are made by local artists. We stock a wide range of art and photo cards from Tairāwhiti artists, jewellery by Michael Stammers, ceramics from potters Seymour May, Chris Henwood and Heather Van Wyk, weaving by Julia Gould, and photographic prints by Kerry Fox.

All purchases at the museum shop support the activities of the museum. Friends of the Museum receive a 10% discount on all purchases (excluding sales).

The museum also frequently hosts selling exhibitions by local artists, including the annual Gisborne Artists’ Society and Potters Group exhibition. These exhibitions are a wonderful opportunity to take home a unique work and support practicing Tairāwhiti artists and craftspeople. Friends of the Museum also receive a 10% discount on all purchases from selling exhibitions.
