This year the annual ‘Artists’ and Potters’ exhibition will soon become a winning trifecta with the addition of the Gisborne Camera Club. Local photographers will now combine their pictorial imagery with paintings, prints and ceramics submitted by the affiliated groups from Lysnar House Studio for their yearly exhibition.

The Gisborne Camera Club is an established group of photographers that meet regularly to share and digest their output and discuss their craft. Most recently the opportunity to exhibit with other practising artists became a reality when approaches were made to the ‘Artists and Potters’ to share their gallery spot and a positive outcome ensued.

Combined, the Gisborne Artists’ Society and the Pottery group have 60 working artist members and every year they exhibit well over a 150 artworks. It is without question that with the new arrivals the number of exhibits is sure to swell.

New members are always welcome and anyone intending to apply for artist/potters/photographers membership will be privy to all Art Society functions and workshops.
