Japanese tea ceremony with Maiko Lewis-Whaanga

A chance to experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony in the Breathe exhibition with artist Maiko Lewis-Whaanga.

Preparing and drinking the tea is quite a meditative practice that can bring balance and tranquility to busy lives.  Many Japanese tearooms have Japanese calligraphy adorning their walls. It is an intrinsic part of the tea ceremony.

This event is free and is limited to 8 participants, although you are also welcome to come in and observe in the gallery without registering.
